What is Peony White Tea?
White Peony Tea, traditionally known as Bai Mudan, is a popular style of white tea made using a combination of young tea leaves and silver-coloured unopened buds. These tender leaves and buds are carefully harvested and minimally processed, allowing the tea to retain its naturally delicate appearance, aroma and flavour.
How to Brew
- Add 1–2 tsp of Peony White Tea to a cup or teapot.
- Add approximately 200 ml of hot water at 80–85°C.
- Steep for 3–5 minutes.
- Strain and enjoy.
For the best experience, avoid boiling water as high temperatures can overwhelm the delicate flavour of white tea.
How to Make Iced White Tea
- Brew 1–2 tsp of Peony White Tea in 200 ml of hot water for 4–5 minutes.
- Allow the infusion to cool.
- Pour over a glass filled with ice.
- Add a slice of peach, apple or lemon for a refreshing twist.
How to Cold Brew
- Add 1–2 tsp of Peony White Tea to approximately 250 ml of room-temperature water.
- Refrigerate for 4–6 hours or overnight.
- Strain and serve chilled over ice.

Please use mineral water in the preparation of Peony white tea,
Step 1- Add 1-2 teaspoons of Karma Kettle Peony White tea to a teapot
Step 2- Add hot water of about 70-80°C, make sure that you do not add boiling water, you shall need to wait 1-2 minutes before pouring
Step 3- Brew for 2-3 minutes
Step 4- Strain to pour out into a teacup
A very mild peony aroma and a floral aroma are noticed when brewing the tea
